The “Stormy Night” Experience
A massive aurora storm front moves westward engulfing the sky over Mount Denali in the Alaska Range on March 19, 2021 at 11:24 pm, the eve of the spring equinox, while curiously leaving a clear patch around the moon and the Pleiades star cluster.
This was Night #1 of a 10-night & 1000-mile aurora hunt. The entire trip was blissful, but when it comes to aurora happenings that I witnessed, nothing compared to this very first evening of my journey when an aurora show of epic proportions stormed the night! That was worth the trip alone.
